8U Mites
Our Mites programs are for children ages 5 to 8, who are looking to learn the game of hockey. We strongly recommend that all players have some level of skating experience (learn to skate or learn to play) before registering for Mites. Mites consists of two programs - House + Travel.
House
Our House program is for 5-8 year-olds (birth years 2020-2017) who are newer to the game, and are looking to build their skills and grow their love of hockey. Throughout the program, kids will practice twice a week and typically have one slot on the weekend - all sessions will look to strengthen their skating, stickhandling and game sense. The season will include scrimmaging both internally and with other house programs.
Registration Cost: $350.
You will be charged $50 upon registration. The remainder of the fee can be paid all at once or in installments when the season begins.
Travel
Our Travel program is for 7 + 8 year olds (birth years 2018 + 2017) and will consist of two weekday practices and weekend games. Travel will be in the capital district and surrounding areas, including both games and tournaments (one home, and two away). There will be 4 travel teams for this upcoming season, Red, White and two Blue. All 7 + 8 year olds will be invited to 3 assessments before the beginning of the season, which will guide their placement on either of the travel teams. Any child not placed on a travel team will be placed in the House program.
Registration Cost: $525
This includes funding to support entry costs for jamborees/tournaments. You will be charged $50 upon registration. The remainder of the fee can be paid all at once or in installments when the season begins.
When
The season will run late fall thru early March.
Jerseys
Our Jersey store will open in early September.
2025-26
